Toledo Museum of Art |
|
At the early age of seven, on the recommendation of my first grade teacher I had the privilege to
start attending Saturday morning art classes given by the Toledo Museum of Art in my home town of Toledo, Ohio.
These classes were free and were supported by local corporate and personal endowments.
Many school aged children of my home town were very fortunate to benefit from a rich cultural
environment that the city of Toledo and its world famous museum had to offer. Since its founding in 1901, the Toledo Museum of Art has earned a global reputation for the quality of its collection, its innovative education programs, and its architecturally significant campus. Within this celebrated environment, one is invited to personally discover the power of art: to delight, to inspire, to engage, and even to transform viewers of all ages and backgrounds. |

| Carving wood for artists provides high quality bass wood carving blocks.
They make the best use of wood by cutting for maximum quality which produces
a variety of sizes to accommodate most requests. |
| Woodezine is an excellent monthly magazine, for those of you who appreciate the works of world-class wood turners,
wood carvers, and furniture builders. The magazine has an archive of past issues, a search feature, a wealth of how to
resources and much, much more. Becoming a subscriber to Woodezine means that they will send you a very short (usually one sentence) e-mail once a month, telling you when the new issue has been uploaded. That's it! They don't share, sell or rent anybody's e-mail address, and they don't ask subscribers for any personal information... not even your name! They will NEVER try to sell you anything by sending you junk mail. |
| The Japan Woodworker offers not only exceptionally crafted Japanese and domestic tools for skilled craftspeople through their online catalog, but also an online guide to the care and use of professional quality tools. They also offer many woodworking links, and a forum for woodworkers. |
| Woodworking resources: Specializing in custom handcrafted wood boxes. They have a wide variety of power tools, lumber, hardware, branding irons, project plans and kits, books, furniture, gifts and crafts supplies. |

| For the enjoyment of my visitors I have provided these links to several excellent streaming classical music stations: KDFC 102.1 FM from San Francisco KING 98.1 FM from Seattle. |
