Areas to be painted or gold leafed are primed. The background will be stained with a transparent custom mixed color and will not be primed. Then, colors are applied to non-gold leafed parts of the panel.

Next, stain is applied to the panel, and wiped off the logo and letters, leaving the logo colors more subdued. Patent gold leaf is applied and over coated with Chromatic UV resistant clear gloss water based finish to protect from rubbing off at the next stage.

Next, another coat of matching green stain will be applied to the entire panel and selectively wiped to produce the final patina.

Metal components are welded, shaped , ground and forged prior to assembly. Then, the hanger is welded and hot riveted together. Finally, the wall mounting holes are marked and drilled.
